Who We Are.
Rockaway Civil is led by John Urbanick, a registered professional engineer, who has 25 years of experience providing land development related consulting services.
John began his civil engineering career as a child, spending many summer days unsuccessfully trying to dam up a small tributary to the Rockaway River in his back yard. He also spent afternoons sitting below a small rusty steel bridge on Rockaway Road, curiously watching the underside sag and vibrate while cars passed above.
As an adult, the passion for engineering transitioned to experience on a land survey crew, which then led to designing and managing civil / site development projects.
We will always be growing as a land development consultant. We will constantly improve on our professional service by listening to and learning from our clients, fellow designers and engineers, real estate professionals, and project legal teams that we collaborate with.
Our most complete professional engineering service will be a result of understanding the goals and expectations of all that are involved.
